What to expect in your first class
The instructor will ask about your experience and any complaints, show you the equipment (a BASI Systems reformer) and teach the basics step by step: breathing, pelvis and spine position, and deep-muscle work. Every exercise is adapted to your level, and in a group of four you get plenty of the instructor's attention.
Beginners classes in the schedule
Look for “Pilates Reformer Początkujący” (beginners) in the schedule. It is a calm pace, simple exercises and a lot of explanation. After a few classes you can move on to all-levels classes.
What to bring
- comfortable sportswear you can move freely in,
- preferably non-slip socks (ordinary ones also work),
- a bottle of water,
- arrive about 5 minutes before class.
If you have complaints
With back pain, after injuries or during pregnancy, consult your doctor before class and tell the instructor about your complaints. If you prefer to start 1:1, you can choose a private session.
